In production since 1999, the Pagani Zonda 760MD looks dated but in a beautiful sort of way
Bespoke supercar manufacturer Pagani has completed another one-off vehicle for a wealthy client. Called the Zonda 760MD, it is based on the Pagani Zonda which has been in production since 1999. So nice is Zonda’s latest build that it has what it takes to steal the limelight away from the Huayra.
The heart of the Pagani Zonda 760MD is a naturally aspirated V12 positioned right behind the driver and passenger. Following Pagani’s naming convention for one-off builds, we know that the output from the engine is 760 horsepower.
The Pagani Zonda is powered by a 7.0-liter AMG-tuned version of the Mercedes Benz V12 M120 engine. It is mounted to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The exterior of the vehicle is made of blue carbon fiber, very blue carbon fiber. There are also many exposed carbon fiber elements on the vehicle.
Aerodynamic aids are essential to optimize the performance of the vehicle. However, they could be viewed as on the excessive side on the Zonda 760MD. It features front winglets and the Zonda R roof-mounted air and the massive rear wing. In addition to creating incredible downforce at speed, the aerodynamic aids do double duty of attracting the attention of every living creature in its midst.
The owner of the New Pagani Zonda 760MD is a young gentlemen who no doubt, must know just how incredibly fortunate he is.
In the meantime, here is a Top Gear episode about the Pagani Zonda R, the ‘high-performance’ version of the Zonda for your viewing pleasure.
