Mercedes Benz C-Class Cabriolet engine and options released

Mercedes Benz had launched the convertible C-Class available with a wide range of personalization and power train options.

Mercedes’ entry –level convertible has a convertible top that can open and close in 20 seconds with the vehicle travelling up to 31 miles per hour. The fabric soft top is also available in four different colors.

Sharing the same engine range with the coupe and sedan C-Class variants, European customers will be able to choose from a very wide range of six gasoline engines and two diesel engines. Gasoline powered engines range from 156 horsepower for the C180 all the way up to 333 horsepower for the C400 4Matic.

Diesel engine options include a 2.2-liter four cylinder engine available in two power guises, 170 horsepower for the C220d and 204 horsepower for the C250d. Converting power to motion is Mercedes’ new nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission that is available with all engine options. For those wanting extra traction, the all-wheel-drive 4Matic is available with four engine configurations. The new C-Class convertible is the first model in its class to come with an optional air suspension system.

The interior of the C-Class convertible can be fitted with no less than 13 different upholstery options, seven trim variants, and three different colors for the soft top’s headliner. The C-Class convertible comes with a full range of active safety systems including the company’s Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Adaptive Brake Assist, Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and more.

Pricing in Germany starts at 42,415 euros for the C180 Cabriolet going up from there. Pricing and options have not yet been disclosed for the United States.
