The Michelin Supercar Run at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed features every Supercar on the market today
The 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed is taking place today through June 26, 2016. The biggest part of the event is the 1.16 mile hill climb up the driveway of the Goodwood Family estate. One of the fan favorites is the Michelin Supercar Run.
Spectators get a glimpse of the absolute fastest cars on the Planet as they undertake the climb of perhaps the most popular driveway in the World. Participants include such famous names as Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lexus, Lamborghini, Jaguar and more.
Strong presence by McLaren
Since the Goodwood Estate is right in the back yard of the McLaren factory, one would expect that they would be heavily featured and indeed they are. The James Hunt Tribute P1 GTR marched up the Hill as did the 675LT. The recently introduced 570S Sprint made an appearance as did a few others.
Ferrari also had a very strong showing with such iconic vehicles as the LaFerrari FXX K, FXX, F12tdf, 599XX, 458 Scuderia, and 488 GTB and Spider versions. The Aston Martin Vulcan also made a quick trip up the hill, thrilling spectators in the process.
There were several new additions welcomed into the Michelin Supercar run. By default, I guess that would make them supercars as well. Regardless, new participants included the Shelby GT350, the facelifted GT-R, the BMW M4 GTS, the Porsche 911R, the VUHL 055R and a one-off Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Roadster.
Bugatti Chiron steals the show
The Bugatti Chiron made an appearance and thus stole the show. However, there was an absolutely brilliant mix of all of your favorite supercars available in the World, some we have known forever and others we have never heard of.
Events will continue at Goodwood through June 26, 2016. You can catch a live feed here.
