Dodge Challenger Hellcat vs. Chevy Camaro SS by Hennessy

Supcharged Hellcat races a supercharged Camaro SS.  Just who will win

At first glance, a race between a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat and a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS hardly seems like a race at all.

The Hellcat has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine producing 708 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque versus a normally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine producing just 455 horsepower in the Camaro. What happens when the 6.2-liter Camaro is massaged by the motor magicians at Hennessy?

The result is a supercharged Camaro with an LT4 putting out 751 horsepower and 734 pound-feet of torque. It is worth pointing out that the Camaro tips the scales at 600 pounds less than the Hellcat.

Still, I don’t think we can necessarily knock the Hellcat. It comes with a 5-year/100,000 mile warranty whereas the Henessy comes with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty.

Just how much does the Camaro beat the Hellcat by? You will just have to check out the video to see for yourself. If for some reason, 751 horsepower is not enough, Hennessy can boost your Camaro SS to 1,000 horsepower.
