Collection of Legendary Ford Muscle Cars Heading to Auction

Jim Click Ford Performance Collection heading to Pebble Beach

Throughout California and Arizona, the Jim Click name is often associated with cars. He owns sixteen dealerships in the two states. However, this time the name Jim Click is not associated with new cars but rather classic cars, very expensive and collectable classic cars.

Mr. Click is putting up his ‘Jim Click Ford Performance Collection’ for sale at auction in Monterey this coming August. Made up of some of the most iconic racing Fords to ever go on road or track.

The crown jewel of the collection is a 1966 Ford GT40. Painted black and yellow, the legendary racer has been in the collection since 1992, having been raced extensively in vintage motorsports events. It is expected to bring in around $4 million when it goes under the hammer.

While the GT40 is the highlight, there are other equally impressive vehicles in the collection including two 1964 Shelby 289 Cobras that are expected to bring in over $1 milion each. There are also a pair of Ford Mustang Boss 302 Trans Am racers from 1969 and 1970 that are also each valued at over $1 milion. Lastly, there is a 1966 Shelby GT350 that is expected to bring in well over $400,000.

The Jim Click Ford Performance Collection will be sold on consignment for RM Sotheby’s action in Pebble Beach this year.
