Ferrari Unveils a Very Special Ferrari 458 MM Speciale

One-off Ferrari 458 MM Speciale designed by Ferrari Styling Center

A little over a month ago, the Internet was abuzz about a new smaller Ferrari that was spotted testing on the streets of Maranello. Experts speculated that the vehicle was a test mule for an upcoming baby Dino.

Well, now we know exactly what that car was. The Ferrari is the 458 MM Speciale and it was designed by the Ferrari Styling Center as a one-off bespoke vehicle for a very wealthy client.

The 458 MM is painted a beautiful Bianco Italia paint with the colors of the Italian flag running down the middle of Maranello’s latest. The car also has a black A-pillar that brings back memories of the Legendary 1984 GTO.

The 458 MM differs from the 458 Speciale in that it has a special aluminum body and custom bumpers made of carbon fiber.

Styling highlights of the 458 MM include a new side air scoop that shows the radiators more steeply inclined and sitting closer together compared to the production 458 Speciale. The side profile of the MM is also more exciting as a result of a sloped roofline and a more prominent rake of the rear of the vehicle.

It looks as though the changes done to create the 458 MM are more than skin deep. The proportions of the engine bay appear to different which would have necessitated changes to the cooling system for the 4.5-liter V8 engine. The engine produces 605 horsepower and 399 pound-feet of torque with power transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission.

Additional changes to the 458 MM Speciale include modified headlights and taillights. The wheels are also unique to this vehicle and are unlikely to be placed on another Ferrari by the factory.

While we don’t have specific information about the interior at this point, it is known that it has tailored made trim, satin white accents against a Cioccolato leather upholstery with white stitching. The one-off also has an upgraded sound system.

The Ferrari 458 MM Speciale was unveiled today at the Fiorano test track. It will soon be delivered to a very wealthy client who undoubtedly paid a hefty premium for his very special Ferrari.
