2017 BMW lineup details for cars are significant
BMW has announced changes to their lineup for the 2017 BMW model year. Changes range from new paint colors to upgraded options to new engines in addition to a facelift.
BMW’s “I” range of eco-friendly rides, the 2017 I3 gets a larger 33kWH battery with nearly 50 percent greater capacity resulting in a range of 114 miles, while the i8 sports car is now being offered in a new shade of red called “Protonic Red”
BMW has made several changes to the equipment list, including the addition of a new suspension on the M3 AND m4 as standard, a newer iDrive 5.0.
The 2017 3-Series Gran Turismo received some light cosmetic upgrades inside and out, in addition to a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine producing 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet for the 330i that replaces the 328i, and a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six producing 320 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque for the 340i.
The same 2.0-liter turbo gasoline four cylinder engine is available in the renamed 230, 430i, and 330i sedan and Touring models, while the M240I coupe and convertible get the company’s newer 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with an extra 15 horsepower and 39 pound-feet of torque, producing 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, respectively. In the meantime, the 435i is renamed the 440i with the same upgraded 320 horsepower 3.0-liter as the 340i models.

- M Sport Package is now standard on the 6-cylinder 340i models including M Sport Suspension, M Sport Steering Wheel, Aerodynamic Kit, Shadowline Trim, and Increased Top Speed Limiter (not on xDrive models).
Lines and Package changes:
- Venetian Beige is now only available with black carpeting.
Sport Line now offered as Sport Package.
