2017 Audi S6 concentrates on the driver’s experience
Audi is looking to improve the quality, design, and technology of its Audi S6. Already well known for its sexy design, tech-filled interior and a powerful twin-turbocharged engine, the S6 really is the total package of brains (technology), beauty (aesthetics) and brawn (horsepower).
The exterior of the S6 is both aggressive and luxurious with changes starting at the front of the vehicle. The Audi has a black optic grille that proudly showcases the company logo and is framed by the LED headlights in markets other than the United States. Pioneered by Audi, the LED headlights are a defining characteristic of the family of luxury vehicles.
The heart of the Audi S6 is the twin-turbo 4.0 liter TFSI eight-cylinder engine producing 420 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Explosive power and torque are always ready to used when called upon. This set up is good for a 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds with power going through all four wheels.
The interior of the S6 is a combination of an executive vehicle and sports cars. With racing-inspired seats, the inside of the S6 oozes luxury and style. With a focus on quality and worksmanship, all parts and pieces making up the interior of the S6 are scrutinized. The result is an interior that performs while at the same time is soft to the touch.
The Audi S6 is very technologically advanced. On-board computers process 2,000 data points per second to provide the best driving experience possible but yet are running in the background so as to not distract the driver.
Technology giant Google also plays a role in the technology driving the S6. Both the navigation system and parking assist systems are powered by Google Earth providing renderings of your whereabouts with satellite-driven technology never gets old.
Additional features incorporated into the S6 include power-folding heated side mirrors, night vision assisted driving and an adaptive collision reduction system called pre-sense plus. To facilitate and assist the various technology systems integrated into S6, multiple sensors are integrated and pre-sense plus, which is an adaptive collision reduction system.
For a twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine, fuel economy for the S6 is 17 miles per gallon in the City and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
